Shared Protection As noted, this suite shares many features with ZoneAlarm PRO Antivirus + Firewall 2015 See it at Amazon UK. I have to wonder: Has nobody been using it under Windows 8? Was there no quality assurance testing under Windows 8? The product was released three months ago. My Check Point contact explained, "There is a bug causing compatibility issues on Win 8/8.1 that caused us to temporarily disable the feature." He went on to explain how I could enable the feature for testing.
The same thing happened with Parental Control, except that clicking the link brought up an incorrect explanation that I would need ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 2015 to get that feature. My Check Point contact confirmed this bug.
Despite the message, I was able to turn on the feature. Under Windows 8.1 the link for Anti-Keylogger, which is definitely an included feature, sported that "learn more" message. When a particular component isn't included, the UI displays a link that says "Not included, learn more." Clicking the link lets you know which ZoneAlarm products do support that feature, which makes sense. It's a good thing I did, because otherwise I wouldn't have discovered some peculiar problems.Īll of the ZoneAlarm products have the same basic user interface.
